GoLava 101 for TH9
Popular against th9 bases. Completely wipes out th8 bases. Army is divided in 2 groups. The kill squad and lavaloons. This attack works best when both xbows are set to ground. Lower level air defenses are a plus.
Exact army composition varies by the base you are attacking. Ask a clan member for help if needed. Here is an example of a typical th9 GoLava army of 250 troops (220+30cc).
Kill squad - 2 golems, 6 wizards, 4 wall breakers, 1 pekka/3 valks, 1 rage, 1 jump, 1 poison.
Lavaloon – 3 Lava, 14 loons, 2 rage, 1 haste
Cleanup – 3 archers
Kill Squad: OBJECTIVE OF THE KILL SQUAD IS TO TAKE OUT THE ENEMY QUEEN, CC, 1 AIR DEFENSE. If your kill squad manages to take out 2 air defenses then 3 stars is almost a certainty. Knowing how to funnel is imperative in deploying the kill squad. If these initial objectives are not accomplished, the attack will most likely fail. Since time is a factor, luring enemy cc is not recommended in most cases. Funnel and deploy your kill squad using the spells assigned for your kill squad. Use poison on the enemy cc and queen. Using a poison on a queen greatly reduces her attack speed, which is a huge benefit for your kill squad
Lavaloon: This squad will be split in 2 groups. 1 group will have 2 lava and 6 loons. The other group will have 1 lava and 6 loons. 2 loons are kept as backup and deployed as needed. Once your kill squad takes out the first air defense and the queen is engaged, you can deploy your lavaloons. Do not wait for the kill squad to completely die. If a few strong troops (like a hero and a couple of wizards) are still alive, this significantly increases your chances of a 3 star. Spamming your loons is not recommended. It has to be separate deployment. Typically 3 per defense. Remember the loons will always target the closest defense, so visualize its path and choose which defense to target first. The path you visualize should converge towards the air defense. Use 1 rage per group of lavaloons. Use the haste later on to help speed through the rest of the base.
